I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenck's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirl under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

Summer conference in Logan! June 2012

The girls were so excited to get to go back to Logan. Anthony's Summer conference was up there instead of in Ephraim like last year. Thank goodness!

We can tell we're not in St. George anymore when it's June and the temperature in the early evening drops to 47 degrees!

Headed off the mountain pass, down into Logan.  Feels like coming home.
While Anthony was at his conference we had some time to kill. We ended up at the old A&W so the girls could try root beer float cones! YUM!

Such silly girls!

Hey Alyssa! I think you have some ice cream on your face.

All tired out.
The Logan temple is so beautiful.

The girls had to share a bed. They actually did a lot better than I thought they would.

Willow Park Zoo with the old friends from The Springs!

While in Logan we had to visit our good friends Jason and Nicole Peterson. The girls got to swim in their pool. We caught Alyssa in Nicole's living room eating all of her Andies mints.

We had a bbq with them one of the nights and Alyssa stepped in to the fire pit. Poor thing! Luckily there was a pool near by! I think that saved her from really feeling the pain. She had a hard nights sleep that night. :(

Leaving Logan. The Logan mountains are so beautiful.

Aiden's happy to be headed home!

On our way home we stopped in Brigham City to check out the new temple being built. It is so beautiful.

Aiden at home. He is learning to shove food in his mouth. He uses his other hand to guide the hand that has food. :) I love everything about this boy.

silliness and daddy's birthday.

Alyssa, you are such a silly little girl!
At Grandma Mackley's

At Grandma Vick's

Happy birthday Daddy! We love you so much!

Dad let Ashlynn blow out his candles.

catching up.

Aiden at 7 months.
I can believe how big he is getting! Already drinking out of a cup!

My sweet sweet boy. Would you please quit growing so fast.

Sitting up! Such a strong boy!
I think Aiden's growing so fast because he sleeps so much.

Aiden

Aiden loves his baths. He loves to splash and thinks it's pretty funny when the girls squeal because he got them wet. I just love him. He is such a boy, and we are glad to finally have him in our family. He has 2 teeth and says dada! What a stinker! The girls all said mama first but not him!

Our Secret Garden

We planted a small garden in some planters that we had sitting around. The girls have had fun watering them and watching them get taller and bigger. The tomatoes are just now starting to turn orange. Alyssa calls them ta-ma-toes. She watches a cartoon called Peppa Pig and the family of pigs have English accents. It's really cute the way she says it. She has also said, "straight away" a few times. It's hilarious.
School just got out for the summer and we are all ready to relax a bit and barbecue with friends and family.
I have been having fun re decorating the house a bit and even made a new wreath for the door. Our old one was pretty faded and missing a few leaves and flowers.
