We had such a great time with the family this Thanksgiving. It was so good to be back in the St. George sunshine. While there, we were able to have our pictures taken with the Vick family. Thank you Dawn for giving us such a great deal! These pictures are just pictures that were taken with my camera. I will post other's when I get a copy of the disc.

Whoops.
J Lopez.
I am sorry for you.
You will probably never live that down.
At least not until the next dumb singer/celebrity does something dumber.
Adam Lamebert.
I had such high hopes for you.
Your gross and crude and yucky.
Alisha Keys.
You have such a voice.
What happened last night?
Whitney.
If we had wanted a speech about your drug abuse,
we would have asked for a speech.
Rihanna.
Why were you opening act?
Taylor Swift.
I heart you.
I am so glad that you won so many things.
You deserved it.
You actually sing.
While others seem to only know how to scream.
Green Day.
You were the best part of the night.

Birthday Schmirthday..
So this after noon I was heading south, towards home, on 600 West.
I decided that instead of continuing down 6th west,
I was going to turn and head towards 10th West and on home.
Bad idea.
Rear view mirror,
clear.
Side view mirror,
clear.
So I proceed into the turning lane
and
BAM.
Some one was in my blind spot.
We get out and I look at the damage on their car.
(i don't really care what happened to mine, it's already got to many scraps to count)
There was pretty much nothing but rubber that had scrapped off onto their car from the side of my bumper.
But the 'idiot husband' had to call the Po Po.
And after all insurance and stuff like that is exchanged he says to me.
'Unfortunately,
I have to issue a citation,
and I have to give it to you because you were at fault.
Because you were wearing your seat belt,
I'm going to check this little box right here,
and they should give you $10 dollars off your fee for complying to safety regulations.'
Is that supposed to make me feel better?
Really?
On a $100 dollar fine,
does $10 dollars really make a difference?
So, instead of using the $60, I'd been saving,
on going to dinner and New Moon for my birthday,
I get to put it towards my ticket.
HaPpY BiRtHdAy To Me!

Aunt Flow, Where'd Ya Go?
So,
as I said before,
I have been really anxious lately,
and the other day I realized that I was supposed to 'start' a few Saturday's ago.
10 days late.
19 months apart.
(this is where you can imagine me freaking out)
I was a wreck.
I finally talked myself into going to my Doctor's office and taking a pregnancy test
and I can not begin to tell you how fast my breathing got and I really thought I was going to have a
melt down.
Right there in the waiting room.
But,....
The test was negative,
and Aunt Flow is here for a week's visit!
(i couldn't have needed her more than right now)

Confessions
I don't think I'll ever live down my teenage years.
My sister Joy called me the other day and wanted to know if I knew a girl she works with.
Andrea Hopseeker.
Uh.......Ya.
And then I said a few mean things that I regret saying, even to my sister.
She told me that Andrea found out I was her sister and said to her,
"Um, I don't think Chelsey liked me very much in High school."
And I was thinking,
Seriously, I never said anything to her, how could she have thought that?
But back as a teenager I was known to throw my fair share of eye daggers.
And who knows,
I could have been whispering mean things about her to my evil blond twin.
I wasn't very nice.
And this conversation with my sister made me very sad,
because now that I have 3 daughters,
I realize how hurt I would be if some MEAN GIRL was rude to them and made them feel less than what they're worth.
I guess here's Carma biting me in the butt.
So,...
To all of you Andrea Hopseekers of this world,
I am sorry.
I really didn't know that I could have been causing permanent damage.
I hope you will forgive me.

Till Sunday...
So I have done a lot of thinking.
I have noticed lately that I have been ignoring my house work,
have not wanted to cook dinner,
the laundry is always in piles on my bedroom floor
and that I have been really short with my children.
All around, I have not been being a very good wife or mother.
And I was wondering about that today.
Why?
Why has it gotten worse in the last month or so?
This is what I've come up with.
I am always on the computer.
Between Facebook and my blog I have little time to spend doing the things that a wife and mother should be doing.
And, do I really want that for my kids?
No.
They deserve my undivided attention.
(aside from doing dishes and laundry)
They deserve for me to be able to play with them because my chores are finished.
And my poor husband deserves a hot meal when he comes home,
and he also deserves a wife that is dressed and has makeup on!
So it is for all of these reasons that I will be blogging on Sunday afternoons only.
I know it will be hard,
I'm not thinking that it won't be,
but I am going to try.
Love you all.
See you Sunday.
(better wait and check for a new post on Monday's, in case it's really late.)

I know I'm Not Perfect....
Now,
I'm not really sure what's wrong with the warm fuzzies
or posts that are always happy,
(i happen to like them)
but a few people have posted,
on their blog,
that they get sick of talking about all of the nice things in life,
that they just need to complain or write about their flaws.
So it is to them that I dedicate this post.
ENJOY!
Where to start?...
I yell.
Yes, I am a yeller.
Sometimes I feel like that's all I do.
I have prayed over and over for the patience
to talk calmly when situations occur,
but I can't seem to remember,
that I'd like not to,
when the time comes.
I hate dishes.
Yes, everyone hates dishes,
but I am horrible about doing mine.
They can pile up for 3 days sometimes.
And I won't think about doing them until I finally notice that the forks are missing,
or when the cupboards are void of any and all cups.
I watch Soaps.
Well... one soap actually.
The Young & The Restless.
And I will admit that even if my kids are in the middle or a cartoon,
I will change the channel on them.
And I don't feel bad about it either!
It's the one show I watch.
I hate showering.
I only shower ever other day.
Gross?
I guess it's because of my hair.
My hair takes an hour to completely blow dry and I have such thick hair, it's hard to find any hair tie big enough to keep my hair up and out of the water.
~Last but not least~
I spend 2-3 hours a day,
most days,
on the computer or reading.
And when it's time for my husband to come home,
I mad dash it around the house picking up all of the toys, cups, pieces of tid bits and any other thing that my kids have scattered from one end of the house to the other.
Oh yeah, and I usually will throw in a load of laundry too.
I'm lucky if I've even thought of dinner when he walks through the door.
Now, like them and me,
it's your turn!

A 3 Year Olds Logic
From my room I yell,
'Girl's get that room cleaned NOW'
And a few minutes later Ashlynn comes in my room and says,
'Mom, Hailey won't help'
So I tell her,
'Ash, Santa knows if Hailey is not helping. you do your part and know that Santa will be bringing you presents'
After about 10 minutes Ashlynn comes back in my room and tells me she's done. So we go to her room and sure enough, it's spotless. I look down at her and ask,
'Did you do all of this yourself?' and with a big smile she says,
'Yes'
So I give her a big huge and tell that I'm so proud of her. Then we both walk into the living room where Hailey is sprawled out on the floor watching The Incredible Hulk with her Dad and baby sister. I look at her and say,
'Hailey Ann, your sister just cleaned up your room all by herself. Looks like i get to call Santa and tell him to leave one of your presents behind'
She jumps up running to her room yelling,
'No, I'll help too.'
But when she gets there and realizes that it's clean she says to me with her hand on her hips and her eyes bulging out,
'I'll just make it messy so I can help do it!'
********************************************
SERIOUSLY?!!

Halloween 2009
Ashlynn and Hailey love the movie,
Aqua Marine,
so for Halloween they wanted to be Mermaids.
Thanks to Aunt Joy,
they were the cutest dang Mermaids ever!
They've had the costumes for about a month or so and,
through wearing them,
some of the tulle came out of the tail.
So we used them as Colored hair. Hailey.
What a fun Halloween. We went down to Anthony's sister Belinda's. She just lives an hour away in Kaysville, Ut. We made soup in bread bowls and after Trick-or-Treating with the kids, we hung out and watched Harry Potter. We're so glad that we've been able to spend time with their family while living up here. Thanks Belliston's for having us down!

Ashlynn's Class Halloween Party
Ashlynn and Hailey were mermaids for Halloween
but I knew that Ashlynn wouldn't be able to sit down in her desk at school with the big mermaid tail,
so I dressed them up as kittens for her class party.
A few years ago the girls were kittens that had head bands with ears.
I thought that I still had them but I could only find the bow tie.
So for Ashlynn,
I cut the bow tie in half and sewed it into little ears.
I used the elastic on the bow tie to loop around her buns.
For a tail I cut off the ties on a brown dress of Hailey's!
I know,
what was I thinking?!
But she complains about the bow on that particular dress every time she wears it,
so I thought,
what the heck, who cares! For Hailey,
I just put her hair into two buns,
painted whiskers and a nose
and gave her a tail as well.
I think they turned out pretty cute for last minute. I was asked to do a craft for Ashlynns party and
(I don't know what I was thinking)
decided to make 30 graham cracker haunted houses.
If I had known how long I would be standing in my kitchen frosting together 30 houses,
I would not have done it.
Now that it's over with,
I'm glad I did because the kids loved it!Alyssa tagged along too.
She was such a good little girl
and sat in her umbrella stroller for 2 whole hours. Ashlynn playing a game.

Carving Pumpkins
Every Halloween we buy pumpkins from a guy in Logan.
He has HUGE pumpkins.
This year we waited a little to long to go pick one out
and was left with few to pick from.
Last year our pumpkin weighed 98 lbs,
this year it was only 60.
Wwwaaaa!
The girls love carving pumpkins.
This year Alyssa got to help.
She stood under the table and grabbed all of the pieces of pumpkin that fell into the center of mine,
while I tried not to stab her hands. My witch.

My Sleepy Bug
Alyssa loves her blankets.
It doesn't matter what one it is,
she just loves something to cuddle,
and when she sleeps,
she likes to cover her face with it.
None of my other girls ever did this.
I think it's so cute.
She's such a sweet little thing.
Poor things gonna get tough.
