I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenck's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirl under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

buck tooth beaver.

When Alyssa's first top tooth started coming in I realized that it was bigger than the other girls teeth.
Then her second top tooth started coming in and as you can see,
you could fit a whole other tooth between them!
She's our little
buck tooth beaver!

my sweet girl.

alyssa's bottom two teeth.

Maybe someday she'll grow hair... on another note, she's walking! She is so proud of herself and so are we!

Feeling Blah.

I don't know what my problem is today,
but I am feeling really blah.
Maybe it's that I can't go outside because it's frigid.
Maybe it's because I'm 30 pounds over weight and am wanting to see results from the gym NOW.
Maybe it's that I haven't gotten a lot of sleep lately.
I don't know.
What I really want to do is go shopping for some instant gratification,
but I am the worse with shoppers remorse,
so that would make me feel even worse later tonight.

Hum.
Usually I would go bake something.
Actually I did last night,
and it was divine.
The girls came over for game night.
But I only allowed my self 2 small squares.

I think I should take the rest of the 9X13 pan and split it up between the mothers in the neighborhood, that just had babies, immediately.

The other thing I do when I am feeling down is read.
But,
I have no books.
(Maybe I should start Twilight again....)

Any suggestions?

So...
I may just take my new toy (netbook) back to the store.
I really thought I would get more use out of it,
but...

I find myself playing games on it instead.
I think that I probably shouldn't have jumped the gun and bought it so soon.
Should have waited till I was at least INROLLED in school...

The other reason,...
I still prefer my really fast, brand new computer that Anthony bought me, only 6 or 7 months ago, for the office.

Oh well,...
guess I better return my netbook before the 15 days are up.

My Big Sis

Joy,
You are one of the greatest women I know.
You are also the most creative person that I know.
If I have an idea and am not sure about it,
I know that I can run it past you and will get a million different angles to think about.
Joy,
You are one of the most caring and forgiving people I know.
If someone care about you,
you will go the extra mile to care about them and make them feel important and included.
You are also one of the funnest people I know.
You are always up for something and are the best of the best when it comes to planning a party.
Joy,
I love you for so many many reasons.
These are just a few...

I remember you putting makeup on me at church.
I remember you putting glue-on fake nails on me when I was probably only 6,
but you were only able to put about 3 of them on before mom caught you and she made you take them off. But you still tried, because you knew I wanted them.
I remember going to beauty school with you one day.
You let me put curlers on a mannequin, fed me suckers all day and pierced my ears.
I was so proud to be your little sister.
I remember going to Meryl Norman with you and watching you do people nails and then you would take me to lunch.
I remember in 6th grade you would let me walk over to your house and you would just hang out with me and would call in to the school pretending to be mom and tell them that I was sick and that you had picked me up.
I remember sleeping at your condo and watching movies and eating junk food all night and surfing ebay with you.
I remember all of the times that I didn't have money and you would tell me it didn't matter and would pay for me to go somewhere so that I could come along too.
I remember being able to come to you with some of life's scariest things and you would just listen to me and I knew that you wouldn't judge me or 'tell mom.'
I remember you making me feel important.

I think that God put us in the same family because he knew that I needed you.
I will be ever grateful for that.

I am so glad that you are my big sister.

Love it...

I made a purchase yesterday that I love.
I have been telling Anthony for a month or two that I want a netbook.
I have also looked them up and researched them but have found them to cost more than I was willing to spend.
Well anyway,
Anthony was at the store the other day and saw one for an AMAZING price, came home to research it and see what people think about it and then told me to go look at it and if I liked it, get it.
Loved it,
so.......
I bought it!

Also,
I have been wanting a new desk for over 4 years.
(since Anthony purchased our first one)
I found one on line for 389 and loved it but Anthony didn't.
So, we searched the Internet to see what we did agree on.
The only ones we agreed on were between 700 and 1000.
WAY TO MUCH.
So I figured that we were stuck with the one we have...
for now.

BUT,
While at walmart the other day,
I was browsing and found a desk that I loved,
so I took a picture of it with my phone and showed it to Anthony...
these were his words...
'Well, why didn't you get it?'
So,
we went and picked it up!

ALSO...
I went and got a membership at the gym.
I went Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
After a rigorous week I decided that I need to slow it down to Monday, Wednesday and Friday because...
I pulled my achilles tendon,
and am having a hard time walking.

I hope I am better by tomorrow so that I can go back.

All in all,
I'd have to say that I've been spoiled this last week.
It's been nice!

Christmas Eve at Jana's and Christmas Morning

Since we had the Mackley family Christmas party early,
we spent Christmas Eve with Jana, Dondi and Treighton.
Jana prepared a nummy ham and funeral potato dinner for our family and Mom and Dad.

The girls love to listen to Jana's ipod.

Anthony and me.

Dad.

Ashlynn as Mary.

Hailey. Our little angel.... hahahahahaha

We tried to have Alyssa be a wise man,
but she was not to trilled to have the costume on.
She pulled it right off.
In fact,
I'm surprised I was even able to take a picture.

So...
Dad ended up being the wise man.

Mom, Jana and me.

My girls and me.
They were all ready for bed in their new PJs.
They could hardly go to sleep they were so excited.

All of us.
Christmas Eve 2009.
CHRISTMAS MORNING
Alyssa didn't want to wake up yet.

The girls were so excited because Santa remembered they were at Grandma Mackley's house for Christmas.

Ashlynn opened a Hannah Montana Barbie and Hailey was not to happy for her.

Then,...
she opened her first present...
Santa remembered the Barbie that she has seen at Kohls.

Alyssa opened her first present ever...
her very first baby doll.

Ashlynn got a watch so she can learn to tell time.

Hailey helped Daddy open the present she picked out for him.

I got Anthony the tiniest little pan called The One Egg Wonder.
He told the girls it's his new bum spanker.

My sweet Alyssa.

The girls opening a present to both of them.

I just have to say,
that Christmas morning is exciting again.
Little kids that are excited about Santa make the morning what it was when we were little kids.
It is so fun to see their excited faces and to know that the believe.
Christmas for us was small this year but the wonder in our Children's face made it the best Christmas of all.

Ash...

Tonight Ashlynn gathered enough couage to let me try pulling her 2nd tooth.

On the second try,
which she was reluctant to let me do,
it popped right out!

She is so proud.
(and very excited for the tooth fairy)

I love you Ashlynn. You're such a big girl.

Alyssa's Birthday and 4 wheeling with the Mack's

The cake.

Greg had to leave so they stopped by before the party and had Alyssa open her present.
She fell in love at first hug!
They couldn't have given her a better present because she LOVES cuddly things.
This picture is a little blurry, but Aunt Joy gave her THE CUTEST headband.
It says,
'Today I eat cake!'
She wouldn't leave it on but I stuck it back on her a few times to get some pictures of it on her.
Then we decided that it looked great on the puppy that Greg and Julie gave her.
So That's where it stayed...
The big cookie.
Just so you know,
Alyssa is an expert unwrapper.
On Christmas morning she tore into her presents,
even though she has NEVER opened a present before.
She knew exactly what to do!
For all of the girls 1st birthday's,
Aunt Joy has got them their first dish set.
I think that is such a great idea.
We even still have the other girls...

Grandma and Grandpa got Alyssa the old fashioned Fisher Price Pull Along phone.
LOVE it! It's so cute.

At first Alyssa wasn't so sure what to do with her cake.
Then she figured it out!
Yummy.

All the kids.
Us girls.
Me and Mom.
3 of us.
On new years day we went 4 wheeling with the Mackley side of the fam.
The girls LOVED it.
We had a fire to roast hotdogs and Marshmellos and Hot chocolate.
Ahslynn and Anthony warming thier hands.
Hailey.
Grandma and Alyssa.
Hailey.

Natasha and Alyssa.
Anthony and I took Alyssa on a little ride.
She kept saying "Ooooh"
I think she liked it too.
