I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenck's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirl under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

Primping Grandma!

We're so glad that Grandma & Grandpa Mackley could come up and visit! The girls had so much fun getting to spend time with them. After they left, Hailey and I took Ashlynn to school and then ran some errands with Daddy. We went to the bank and the lady gave Hailey some smarties. She told me that she was saving them for Papa! I had to remind her that Grandma and Grandpa had left and she said, "I'm going to miss them." Several times that day she would come up to me, give me a hug, and say, "I'm going to miss Papa." or "I'm going to miss Grandma." or "I miss them so much." I even caught her in her room, playing on her barbie phone, having a conversation with Papa. It went something like this: "Hello Papa, oh yeah, I miss you too. You're going to come to my house Papa. Oh! I miss you soo much." It was so sad! She sure loves her grandparents! While they were here, Grandma Mackley let the girls 'do' her hair! It was so cute to watch them putting their hair bows in it!

Tony Grove! (11~01)

When Grandma & Grandpa Mackley were here we took the van up the mountain for a drive. Anthony had just replaced the front and rear struts on it and wanted to see how it would do, so we packed up a picnic and headed out! We decided to go to Tony Grove since Grandma & Grandpa have never been there. It was beautiful and the weather was great!
After eating lunch Anthony and the girls took of to explore. They hop-skipped some rocks and ended up on some rocks surrounded by water! It's a good thing they have their Dad because I would never have let them go on them!! I'm too chicken! I just kpt thinking, 'Iwonder how deep the water is right there?' (i just couldn't get it out of my mind that they might fall)

Happy Halloween!

Halloween morning we got up and got ready! I decided to let the girls wear their costumes all day because they were so excited to put them on. I curled Ashlynn's hair in ringlets and flipped the ends of Hailey's up, but by the time I took these pictures it was pretty much flat. After running an errand with Grandma, (buying food storage) Grandpa decided we all needed to go out to eat for lunch. We chose Chili's. Grandpa got a Big Mouth Burger with bacon on it. The bacon was so thick! Grandpa put it in his mouth and said, "Look at my tongue!" It looks so real and sooo yucky! Lunch was so yummy! Thanks Dad!! The girls were so ready to got Trick or Treating! We went around Ginger Circle and then picked up Alli and Tyson! About half way through Trick or Treating, Grandma wanted to head home. Hailey wouldn't hear of it. She grabbed on to Grandma's finger and said, "No Grandma, I want to go with you!" It was just to sad. Of course Grandma stayed! How can you say no to such a sweet little thing! The girls had so much fun going this year! Especially since Grandma & Grandpa were here with us! Hailey especially enjoyed it because I don't think she remembers going before! Her eyes were huge with wonder!
A special thanks to Grandma Vick for buying the girls their costumes! They sure love them, and will play in them for along time!

Pumpkin Walk! (10~28)

My Friend Tiffany and I decided to take the girls to the Hyde Park Pumpkin Walk! It was so neat. All of the animals and people are made of pumpkins! The girls thought it was really awesome!

Later that night we finally carved our 'BIG' pumpkin! Boy was that thing a beast! Anthony did such a great job!! I thin it turned out terrific!

Carving Pumpkins! (10~27)

For Family Night we carved our pumpkins! We started with the small ones because we knew that the 94 lb. pumpkin would take some time. And it's a good thing we did because the little ones took use forever! We had so much fun carving the three small pumpkins! Anthony could hardly wait to start on the big one! But we had to save it for the next night because by the time we got these three carved, it was almost 10 o'clock!

Uncle Ian Comes To Visit! (10~25)

Last week end Ian came up to Logan to come see us. The girls loved having him here. He made the mistake of letting them climb all over him and then they wouldn't leave him alone! Poor Ian! It was fun having him here and letting the girls get to know their Uncle!
