Bunk bed ladder/Computer desk/Shelf
Once we got the bunk beds up, Anthony decided that the girls needed a ladder to climb into them. He was concerned that they would be trying to climb down and fall due to the big lip they had to try and climb over before going down. So he sat down at his computer and planned out exactly what he wanted. He then took me into the girls bed room and tried to show me what he was going to do but I had no clue what he was talking about so I told him to just do it!

Momma's Cookie Monster
The other day I was trying to fix lunch and Alyssa wouldn't stop fussing, so I put her in her high chair and gave her a Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookie. She loved it, and made the biggest mess! She might not have any teeth, but she sure knows how to use those gums.

Trip to the ER
When we came back from the reunion Ash wasn't feeling any better and her temp was still up to 103. We put her in the tub for 20 minutes in luke warm water but she still only dropped down to 101 degrees but a 1/2 hour later she was back on the rise. By this time it was already 8 o'clock so I told Anthony that I was taking her to the emergency room. I wasn't about to go through the night with temps of 103. When we got there they admitted her and with in 30 mins she was bouncing around the room and I thought, 'Great! They're going to think I'm just a paranoid Mom.' When the nurse finally came in we got to talking about everything that had happened and I told her that when Ashlynn was in the tub she was saying that her back hurt. So she suggested that we do a urine sample. And sure enough. Ashlynn had a full blown UTI. Poor thing. :( Luckily I had my trusty camera with me so we goofed around taking pictures while we waited around for the doc. (mind you, we both had just had a shower, so I haven't a stitch of make-up on)

Mackley-Hunter Reunion
Saturday morning we got up and went to Downata Hot Springs, in Idaho, to the Mackley/Hunter reunion. When we got there we got changer into our swimsuits and headed over to the swimming pool. When it was time to get out and eat lunch Ashlynn started complaining that her stomach hurt and Anthony noticed that she was getting really hot to the touch. We found a thermometer and took her temp. 101. Luckily I had brought along some Ibuprofen, so we gave her some and headed back to where Grandpa & Grandma were camping. Ashlynn and Anthony took a nap in the tent and Hailey, Alyssa and I hung out talking to the fam. It was really good to see everyone.

Surgery
Grandma & Grandpa Mackley came to Logan a couple of days early so they could be here to stay with the kids while Anthony and I took Alyssa in to get her tubes. (At 6 in the morning) When we got there, they admitted us and a short while later Dr. Robinson, the anaesthesiologist, came in and told us what he was going to do. Then Dr. Blotter, the ENT, came in and explained what he would do and how long he thought it would take. Then they took her, and 13 min. later Dr. Blotter came in and said that he was done and that she did really well, and 5-10 minutes after that, they brought her back to us! It was so quit. And I'm so grateful for that. They did a great job. I am so glad that it's over.

8 Months
My little bug had to get tubes in her ears today. It was really hard watching them take my baby away, but 13 minutes later the Doc came back and said that he was done and that it went really well. I am glad that it is over with. I love her so much!

1st Day of Kindergarten
Ashlynn's first day of Kindergarten was yesterday, Monday August 31st, 2009! That morning she asked me at least a dozen times, 'Mom, what time is it?.... 'Mom, can I get my backpack on?' I thought I was going to go nuts! When the time came, we walked with our neighbor who's little girl is in Ashlynn's class. When we arrived I, of course, had to take a few pictures! She was so happy! I hope she keeps this enthusiasm through all her years of school. Wanting to learn is so important to becoming successful at it.
I love you Ash!
I can't believe what a beautiful young girl you have become.
I'm so proud of who you are and who you're becoming.
Love,
Mommy
