I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenck's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirl under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

traveling.

This is a compiled post of some of the places we went summer 2012.
We visited Grandma and Grandpa Mackley again while they were camping on Pine Valley mountain.

We went to Las Vegas and stayed with Cindy and Bryce for a few days

While we were in Vegas we took the kids to town square and did a little shopping!

The Gorge really is a beautiful place.

We spent quite a few days at Grandma and Grandpa Mackley's house.
Grandma Mackley showed us what Doodle Bugs look like and how to catch them.

We took many drives over to Swig. YUM!

April and her kids came to St. George for a visit. We finally got to meet her little boy Britten. He is so sweet.

We spent countless hours with Anthony at his shop.
He built me a shelf to store all of the lotions that I got while visiting in Vegas!

Uncle Ray was home. He let the girls paint his finger nails and toe nails.
 So pretty!

He also let them do his hair and make up.
Is it any wonder he is the favorite Uncle?!

The girls all tired out from plying at Grandma Vick's.

going to grandma vick's.

We come out to Hurricane often. To say the least. But for some reason, the sky was extra beautiful this time. Maybe it's because there was a storm rolling through. I truly love living in southern Utah. We have some of the prettiest landscape.

The girls love to shoot hoops with their Dad.

Ashlynn was really doing a great job! She made a basket several times!

Anthony helped Alyssa and Hailey make a few too.

swimming and the 4th of july.

The kids love to swim but I HATE taking Aiden down to the pool, so I bought them a pool for the yard. They really don't seem to mind the trade off! Lucky me!

Alyssa was told to go get her pajama's on. She did. Then hopped back in.

Every year we go to the park for the 4th of July. We grab dinner of some kind and then head to the park around 5. We are there WAY earlier than everyone else, but we get good parking and any view we want! The kids love to play on the grass. We also bring squirt bottles and lots and lots of ice and snacks.

Aiden's first 4th of July! Such a cute happy stinker.

This year Heidi and Reggie and their kids came and found us so we got to spend some time with them.

We had a blast! Can't wait till next time!

baby boy.

I just can't get enough of this new little man in my life. I never thought I'd be so in love.

 Sweet boy hair do's.

Aiden is sleeping really great in his new crib. I am so used to him sleeping with me I have to check on him often.

The girls came in the house and told me that they found a HUGE grasshopper in the garage. WOW! it was really big. it was at least 3 inches.

sleeping in, crawling backwards and a new do.

Hailey's tooth fairy came and she was to excited to stay in bed and catch up on her sleep but everyone else wasn't. They were snoozin fools.

Aiden started to figure out how to crawl forward, then he went backwards from there.
Literally.
Little stinker.

Aiden loves to look backwards.
Like, almost upside down backwards.
Gives me good opportunity to smooch on his soft neck though.

Aiden finally has enough hair to "style"

So cute!
Look at his two bottom teeth!
