I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenck's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirl under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

Child Labor?

The girls always want to help me clean the house but I'm sure you know as well as I do that sometimes little helping hands can sometimes be not so helpful. So when Ashlynn & Hailey asked if they could help me clean the kitchen, I told them certainly! I let them clean the floor! They thought that it was such a fun activity, I told them it was their job from now on, and they loved the idea! So do I, because mopping the kitchen floor is my least favorite chore to do!

Finally, Pictures From St. George

The week after we got back from St. George, our days were filled with appointment after appointment. Then the girls got colds and everything went south from there. It's no wonder I have had no time to keep up on my blog. Today I am finally able to take a few minutes and catch up. We sure do miss that St. George sunshine!

My Great Idea

Yesterday I was out in the garage and saw some MDF that I thought would make some good shelves to add to the white cupboard in the kitchen. Well,... today when Anthony said that he had to cut out some wood blocks for a school project, I remembered my great idea! Anthony agreed to cut the selves for me and I began to clear out the shelves that held the cereal. While I was at it I realized that some of the pegs were missing, you know, the ones that hold the selves up. Anyway I was telling Anthony this and wiggled one of them to let him see what I meant and down the cans came! And I mean, down they came. They just cascaded out! Luckily I was enough out of the way that I didn't get to hurt and I was even more lucky that I was kneeling! I would have had a broken toe, or toes, for sure. I guess I wanted to organize every thing anyway right?!

The Finished Look

Belly Time

When we first started belly time with Alyssa, she would cry and cry. Now, as you can see, she thinks it's great! Her neck is getting a lot stronger and she is able to hold her head up for longer periods of time. She's growing up way to fast.

Our Beautiful Baby Girl

Alyssa's blessing was so beautiful! She was such a good baby and slept the whole time! We are so lucky to have such a great baby in our family. Here are some pictures of Alyssa in her blessing dress. It turned out so beautiful. Thank you Grandma Mackley for making the dress and bonnet and for hand crocheting a gorgeous white blanket. It helped the day be so special, and will hopefully help make Alyssa's future children's blessing day special too!

You Are Invited....

I am adding this to my blog, too, so that there is no excuse if you don't show up! I won't name names, but you know who you are and if you should be there or not! Better see you there! ; )

Hailey makes her own cake.

*If you're going to watch this, remember to mute the music at the bottom of all the posts!*

3 Years Old!

Hailey's Birthday!

Hailey helped me make her cake! She did most of it herself, and even cracked the first egg with me, but then decided that it was to messy and let me do the other two alone! I can't believe how big she's getting!
