I don't think I'll ever live down my teenage years.
My sister Joy called me the other day and wanted to know if I knew a girl she works with.
Andrea Hopseeker.
Uh.......Ya.
And then I said a few mean things that I regret saying, even to my sister.
She told me that Andrea found out I was her sister and said to her,
"Um, I don't think Chelsey liked me very much in High school."
And I was thinking,
Seriously, I never said anything to her, how could she have thought that?
But back as a teenager I was known to throw my fair share of eye daggers.
And who knows,
I could have been whispering mean things about her to my evil blond twin.
I wasn't very nice.
And this conversation with my sister made me very sad,
because now that I have 3 daughters,
I realize how hurt I would be if some MEAN GIRL was rude to them and made them feel less than what they're worth.
I guess here's Carma biting me in the butt.
So,...
To all of you Andrea Hopseekers of this world,
I am sorry.
I really didn't know that I could have been causing permanent damage.
I hope you will forgive me.

Oh, the school years when we were less then Christ like. I also have a person that I regret being so mean too. How did we think that it was ok to treat people so unkindly? For me it is, Sorry to all the Angie Mathews in the world.
Ouch....This post hits too close to home. Yes, we all have those kinds of things to repent of don't we? At least yours was a stranger of sorts. Mine was someone who should've and could've been my best friend, but I was too stupid to notice or care. I too am so sorry and I will spend the rest of my life regretting my unkind words. Luckily for me this person is forgiving, and doesn't hold a grudge anymore. She is someone who knows me very well and loves me anyway...because she is my sister.
Yep. Karma bites back big time!
I came to the huge realization of this when I worked with the kids at middle/high school. They would come and talk about their problems every week. These poor kids not only had a terrible home life, but then they had to get slammed over and over again at school. Breaks your heart, and makes you want to shout at all the other kids to just be NICE!!!
