I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenck's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirl under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

What a Happy Easter Day!!

What a blast it was to wake up this morning.
The girls were so excited! Although, I don't
think that Hailey really knew what was going
on at first. She just kind of looked confused!
The Easter Bunny was smart this year!!
The girls only got a few pieces of candy. The
rest were things they could play with or use
at church. Ashlynn got her movie Barbie's
Mariposa, which she had been asking for,
for weeks. They each got a coloing book,
a kite, and a little Golden Book, one was about
Jesus, the other about God. We really want the
girls to remember why we celebrate Easter in the
first place.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should
not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

Looks like they were excited to see what the Easter Bunny brought. I think the boys must've forgotten about the Easter Bunny, because at 10:00 AM, I had to tell them that he had come.
