I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenck's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirl under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

Turkey Noodle Soup!

Thursday Hailey & I made Turkey noodle soup! She loves to help me peel the potatoes and is getting quite good at it! It was so cold outside, grilled cheese sandwiches and soup was the perfect solution to lunch! When we took Ashlynn to school at 10:45 the temp was 2 degrees!! We passed the golf course on the way and the water in the pond was steaming because it was warmer than the air, and the ducks were swimming around in it trying to stay as warm as the could! I told Ashlynn's teacher that she probably wouldn't be back to school for a while, unless Anthony could take her, because there is NO way I am taking a brand new baby out in that kind of weather! Especially because I've seen temps drop down to -7 come January & February! Burrr!

Yea I would make Anthony take her to school because you really shouldn't take your baby out in that weather. It's too dangerous with the RSV that goes around this time of year. You need to just snuggle in for the first couple of months and only go out when necessary (leaving the baby at home whenever possible). I can't wait to see our little baby! I'll bet she's going to be as beautiful as her big sisters! I'm so excited. I can't wait to come visit when the grandparents have gone home. Besides you won't need anyone unti they leave anyway.

PS. I can't believe Hailey can peel potatoes! My boys still have a hard time with it.
