I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenck's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirl under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

Holy Crap!!

Me and my neighbor decided that we needed a date with our husbands so we talked earlier this week and planned that we would trade babysitting. She has two little girls and so do I. Perfect. I was to take her girls Friday and she would take mine Saturday.
So today she brought them over and as she was leaving she says,.... "----- needs to go to the bathroom. Just make sure she flushes and washes her hands. " So I do and all is fine.
Then about 5 mins. later I notice that someone is in the bathroom. I knock on the door. No answer. So I open the door.... and that's when the smell hits my pregnant nose. POOP!
I open the door the rest of the way and find, poop on the floor, poop ON (not in) the the toilet, and worst of all, poop all over the little girls hands and feet!! Yes, I said feet. So I striped her down and let her shower herself while I put her clothes in the washer. I'm laughing about it now but I can tell you, it's a good thing I'm a Mom in the first place or I think I would have thrown up! I am still not really sure how she managed to get it everywhere but IN the toilet, but she did.

Our Baby!!!

Today we had our first prenatal doctors visit! We had the girls come with us, and we thought that we were only going to be able to hear the heart beat, but.... my doctor surprised us when she told us that she likes to do an ultra sound in the first trimester so that they can, more accurately, determine how for along you are. (I guess that's important so that they can do the proper tests at the right time.) We were so excited!! The girls thought that it was so cool. When we were done, Ashlynn was sulking. Anthony asked her what was wrong and she told him that she wanted the baby out NOW! It was pretty tough trying to explain to a four year old, why the baby couldn't come out now. I tried to explain to her that the baby would be smaller than her barbies baby, and that it would die because it was to small. I think she KIND OF understood after that because then she wanted to know HOW the baby grows. She's such a curious child!
We will find out what we're having on Aug. 19! Yeah!! Overall everything is going good. Our Doctor told us that we have a very active baby and that because we could SEE the heart beating, it drops the chances of a miss carriage from 40% to 1%. That's very nice to know because you could see its little heart just a pumpin'. The baby was also raising it's hand up and down. The Doctor told the girls that the baby was waving at them, but i think it was sucking it's thumb!! It was all so amazing! And,..... I haven't gained even 1 pound (for now) That's exciting because I'm trying to be careful this time. I DO NOT want to gain 50 pounds again, but if I did, it's all worth it!!

Happy Father's Day Daddy!

For Father's Day the girls and I got up and cooked Anthony eggs & toast! The girls even got to butter the toast ALL by themselves! Boy was there a lot of butter!! Then we took it all in to Daddy,.. in bed! Lucky!! Later on, we decided to make Chocolate Chip Cookies for a treat. They turned out so good!! Happy Father's Day Honey, we love you!!

Ashlynn's Artwork

The other day the girls told me that they wanted to color, but Mommy doesn't keep crayons or markers around. As all of you, I'm sure, I'm sick of the mess that comes along with those two great childhood tools! So I sat them up to the table with a piece of paper and one of Daddy's pens. Awhile later Ashlynn came up to me with the biggest grin on her face and told me that she had drawn a picture of the baby! I almost cried, it was so sweet. I just had to share it. She said that it is a picture of me with the baby in my belly! Childrens minds are so creative. I just love my sweet little girls!

UGG!!

So I know I haven't posted in awhile. I have been feeling soooo crappy. I don't know what it is with this pregnancy but it sucks! I'm ALWAYS tired, and I am always nauseous. Poor Anthony, I'm sure he feels like a single parent. He has done so much to help me in the last month. I KNOW he's getting sick of it. If I had a picture for this post it would be of a throw up bucket. The girls have been too cute. They keep kissing my belly and telling the baby "I love you baby."
Ashlynn just knows it's a boy and I think that Hailey thinks she's the one having a baby. She keeps pointing and saying, "There's a b-b in me be-ley." If we can all just get through these next few weeks it'll be smooth sailing! (Hopefully, the way I feel shouldn't last my whole pregnancy. Right?... Right??)
