I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenck's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirl under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

Goal Change

So, for those of you that noticed (or didn't notice) I put up some goals on the side bar of my blog. A few days into my goals, I realized that I will probably never change the way I eat. I love food! If I tell myself that I can not eat something, that's all I think about. So... knowing this, I will not tell myself I can not eat something, I will just work for it. I will walk the treadmill every morning. So far I have kept it up and I actually feel great! 30 minutes on the treadmill has me walking between 1.5-2 miles a day, depending on how fast I'm walking. 30 minutes on the treadmill is very do-able. I want to lose 20 pounds! I am going to put up a before and after picture because I am serious about this! I will lose this weight! I'll let you know how it goes!

Silly Girl!

Ashlynn is such a silly girl! She keeps bringing me the camera and telling me to take her picture! Good thing for digital cameras, right? I can't believe how big my girls are getting. Ashlynn acts older everyday, Hailey is learning things she didn't have any clue about a month ago, and Alyssa is almost 4 months old! She is starting to learn how to roll over and smiles and coo's at everything and everybody. I am so lucky that she is such a happy girl. She hardly ever cries. I love my girls so much! On the other hand, I HATE logan! It's freakin' the middle of April andfor the last 3 days it's rained and snowed. It's sooooo cold. I remember coming up here as a teenager, with Kate, in the middle of April and there was 3 feet of snow on the ground. (Remembering our drive up here all those years ago made me remeber about this band that's playing. Great times!) We swore that we were never coming back here again. And now I live here! How did that happen!? Although, I now we were ment to come here. We have been so blessed for being here and I'm sure that when we're gone, I will miss it. I just wish it was warmer!

So Big!

Ashlynn is getting so big! Anthony has been teaching her to ride her bike and she's actually getting pretty good at it. She just needs to get the balancing part down! I'm so proud of her! *Remember: If you're going to watch this, remember to scroll down to the bottom of the posts and mute the music!*
