I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenck's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirl under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

no sleep till... brooklyn

We did not get much sleep last night.
When Anthony's Dad came up for graduation they took 3/4 of our house with them.
Including our beds.
We're camping out really.
So between Anthony tossing and turning from an already bad back,
me with my itchy scratchy throat,
and then Ashlynn waking up at 2 am and coughing,
NON STOP,
till 4 30 am...
we are pretty groggy this morning.

(to say the least)
Except for this little angel...
who slept through it all.
Today we're supposed to be cleaning like mad...
I don't see it happening,
but say a little prayer for us anyway
and I'll let you know how it goes.

Anthony's Graduation

On May 8, 2010 Anthony graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology Education from Utah State College.
In just 5 more days we are moving back to St. George to soak up the sun and hopefully find him a job!

Anth,
I am so proud of you.
You are everything I could have hoped for and more.
I am excited for what the future will bring us and I couldn't be happier that it includes you and our beautiful daughters.
What ever we do,
we are lucky,
because we have each other...
Love,
Chelsey

Quick fill...

So,
again I haven't blogged in a long time.
As you may know,
Anthony graduates on May 8th.
We are super stressed.
On top of that,
we finally made the decision to move.
This is where most of my stress is coming from.
In the middle of moving week,
we just found out,
Anthony's youngest brother BJ is getting married!
We are way excited for them but it makes it a REALLY bad time to be moving.

Here's my last week of May in a nut shell...
We have to have our whole house packed and into the garage by Wednesday the 26th.
(not to mention, our bags for st. george)
On Thursday the 27th Ashlynn has her kindergarten program that we really want her to be able to go to,
so after that is over, we are headed down to St. George.
Friday the 28th I have to go take my placement test @ Dixie College and also get the Utilities in our name: effective June 1st.
Saturday the 29th is BJ and SaDee's wedding and reception.
Sunday the 30th it's back up to Logan with my sister's (Joy, thank you.) trailer,
so we can load it up with our stuff.
Monday the 31st (memorial day) we have to have EVERYTHING out of the house so we can clean it, have a walk through with our manager Carma, (note to self: find out if Carma will be able to do a walk through on a holiday.) and head back down to St. George.
Tuesday June 1st we have lease papers to sign,
are supposed to move in,
and I am supposed to start school.

When do I buy books?...

WHEN DO I BREATHE???

So, I am apologizing ahead of time for not finding the time to blog.
I think you'll forgive me...

Spring Cleaning.

Today I got the bug.
It was a gorgeous day out,
but what did I do instead of go out and enjoy it?
Oh yeah.
That's right.
I stayed in and cleaned...
and I DO NOT regret it.
My house smells great and looks even better!

I packed some more boxes in the process.
I decided that it would give me a better incentive to throw things away.
Things I KNOW I won't want to pack up and move to SG.
It worked.
I have gotten rid of lots of things that I just couldn't seem to throw out before.

Yay for me!

not listening.

Well...
My camera is broken.
3 days ago I caught Hailey playing with it.
She had taken like 50 pictures of Alyssa.
I sat down with her and told her why she can't play with camera's and she told me she was sorry.
The next day,
what do I find?
Hailey playing with my camera again!
Only this time,
I can't get the display to show a picture.
Even after Anthony played with it for a while,
he still couldn't get it to work.
It's toast.

Then yesterday we were going to go into town.
Hailey went out to the garage to get in the van,
but couldn't get the sliding door open.
Thinking it was locked,
she opened the passenger door,
pressed the unlock button,
and then shut it.
Only she didn't press un lock.
She hit the lock button....
and my keys were sitting on the dash.
So Anthony had to open it with a hanger.
We sat down with Hailey and reminded her WHY she isn't supposed to get into the van by herself.
She said she wouldn't do it again.
Later that day,
I had to go get Ashlynn.
What does Hailey do?
Push the button and shuts the door again!
Luckily I had the keys in my hand this time.

Then this morning, I'm cleaning up the front room.
What do I find?
A broken lamp.
The same lamp that she is always turning on and off.
The same lamp I am ALWAYS telling her not to touch,
that she's gong to break it.

I swear!
If this child lives to see her 5th birthday,
she'll be lucky!
