I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenck's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirl under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

Welcome Home Ian!

It was really great to be able to see Ian come home. I can't believe that's it's been 2 years already! We told him that the years would just fly by but oh how quickly they did!! To think, Hailey was only 7 months old when he left is crazy. Ian looked great! he has grown in so many ways and shrunk in others!! His spirit was jumping out of his tiny body! Yes, tiny. He lost so much weight, but I'm sure that with some American food in him, it won't take long for him to 'beef' back up! Welcome home Ian! We sure missed having you around!!

As we drove to the airport, we were scared that we might miss him because a plane was landing as we drove up the hill. Lucky it wasn't his! We actually weren't sure what plane he was coming in on, so I took some shots of the ones that landed. This one was his!

Iam really looked great! In fact I hardly recognized him because he's lost so much weight. The pitures were so cute. I can tell that his family is so excited to have him home. How is he adjusting to home life?
