I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenck's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirl under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

Hailey's Birthday Party!

For Hailey's birthday we had a tea party. It was lots of fun! We had little flower shaped sandwiches, chips, pink lemonade, a veggie platter and a fruit platter. For her cake we had pink snowballs! It all tasted so good.

Hailey also got a pretty bracelet, a coloring book with crayons, some peeps, and a package a neon glow bracelets.

When Hailey saw what we gave her she exclaimed, 'A Lightening McQueen!' It didn't dawn on us that if you have two of the same toy with the same remote control that you can't play with them anywhere near each other or the one remote counteracts the other remote and neither stupid toy will move! What the heck do we do now?!

Bryce thought hailey was flipping him off in this last picture...until I told him to open his eyes.

Happy Birthday my little 3 year old girl! Your party looked like so much fun. When I told Tanner that Hailey's party was today, he looked at me with sad eyes. Why didn't she invite me? I explained that she would've if she didn't live 9 hours away. I'm not sure he would've really like the princess dress up party though. Hahahah!

It looks like you pulled off a great party, even if you did wake up late that day. How cute. I also love the idea of the snowball cake.
