I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenck's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirl under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

5 Months

This evening I decided to take some pictures of Alyssa. Anthony told me I was crazy, he thought she would freeze, but the lighting was perfect! These pictures capture her little personality so well. She always has a finger or two in her mouth! Alyssa is starting to sit up on her own. She is doing rather well considering she just finally started rolling over last week. She still has a way to go though, her back needs to get a little stronger, she's still a little floppy at the hips! I just love my little bug!

What a cute little bug indeed. Tell Anth that she needs to toughen up for the cold winter ahead.. {winter meaning sept. in your neck of the woods..he he.} :)

Love the pictures! This time the download went a lot faster. I think I just had a bad connection with the internet on Saturday. Keep those pictures coming--we love them! Love Mom and Dad M.
