I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenck's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirl under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

Alyssa turns 2! {dec. 27th, 2010}

I had to wake Alyssa up on so I could get a picture of her awesome bed head! She is always so happy when she first wakes up!

I made a butterfly cake for Alyssa's party. Thanks uncle Dave for pointing it out to me that it looks more like a bone! Butt Head! I guess I should have decorated the top to look like butterfly wings and got twizzler pull and peels to make antenna's.
"It's so fluffy!"

Alyssa's birthday crown that she wouldn't keep on.
Playing Ring-Around-The-Rosie with her sisters and cousins!
By the time it was time for the cake Alyssa was SO tired!
Blowing out her candles.

After cake and ice cream the kids got to hit the pinata!

They all had a blast! I can't believe my baby is 2! She is such a sweetheart. I love you 'lyssa Bug!
