I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenck's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirl under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

April 2015

During Conference weekend, we finally got around to planting our garden! This year we decided to make rows to water instead of using a sprinkler system... hopefully that will help with the weeds because they were so bad last year, they completely overtook the garden!

I finally got a little of Ashlynn's room decorated! IT is DEFINITELY not done by any means, but it feels good to make a little bit of progress.

The other night we had to run to walmart. We ended up taking all the kids and Anthony snuck This bow and arrow into the shopping cart. Aiden thought it was pretty cool!! He's actually REALLY good at it!

Ashlynn had to do the science fair for school. Of course Anthony talked her into doing something super complicated so he was the only one that could help her with it... and of course he didn't do it till days before it was due!! So we were up super late for nights in a row...

but it turned out great!

she was really proud of it and I'm REALLY proud of her!!!

Mom & Dad Vick got their mission call!!
We all took a poll and made guesses for where we thought they were going...
I guessed England...
and they got called to Manchester ENGLAND!!!
They leave June 29th!
We sure will miss them but know that they will be amazing and are needed there!
