Ashlynn's Birthday! {Feb. 13th}

Ashlynn's 7th birthday was so much fun!  We borrowed Aunt Joy's decorations and had a blast!  I can't believe she is 7 now, and next year she will be getting baptised.  I love you Ash!

This is her cake!  Actually it was a bunch of cupcakes.  It turned out so cute.  The party favors included earrings, rings, little drawing pads,  diva dog tag necklaces, and a CD that I made, full of all the diva rock music that Ashlynn loves right now.

The table turned out absolutely awesome!  Thanks Joy for letting me use all your stuff!

We also had a makeup table where we did the girls hair and makeup.  They got to sit in the makeup chair and be pampered. What a girls dream!

Then the girls got to have a fashion show!  It was a blast.  They had fun rockin' to the music and struttin' their stuff!

Alyssa turns 2! {dec. 27th, 2010}

I had to wake Alyssa up on so I could get a picture of her awesome bed head! She is always so happy when she first wakes up!

I made a butterfly cake for Alyssa's party. Thanks uncle Dave for pointing it out to me that it looks more like a bone! Butt Head! I guess I should have decorated the top to look like butterfly wings and got twizzler pull and peels to make antenna's.

Christmas 2010

Christmas mornings are always so fun! I love having little kids that bring the joy of Santa back. The girls woke up and of course headed straight for the living room. Then they came running into our room and told us that Santa left them the BIGGEST barbie house ever! We got up and they opened up all of their presents. Back in November one of the smaller diamonds on my wedding ring was loose so I had to take it off and stash it. I thought that we weren't going to be able to get it fixed until after we got our taxes back so I was REALLY surprised when he got it fixed for me for Christmas. I was so happy I couldn't quit crying. :) I love him!
I thought that I would give Alyssa panties for Christmas and before school started again in January I would potty train her. HA! We could sit by her, while she was on the toilet, for 20 minutes and she still wouldn't go potty, but 10 seconds after she got down, she would pee all over! So, after 2 days of that I had had enough. I will try again this summer!

After the girls were done opening up their presents we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Vick's house to eat Christmas morning breakfast.

Christmas this year was amazing. I love the happiness in our children's eyes and seeing them giggle and play with their cousins. I am so happy that we have such a wonderful family on both sides. Family is what Christmas is all about, and the love of our savior.

Mackley Annual Christmas Party 2010

Every year for our Christmas Eve Party we make Home made Cordon Bleu. It is to die for,... but gets fingers SUPER messy!

Sadly I didn't bet any picture of the dinner table. Right before we left the house to go up to the church, Bryson cut his fingers on the punch bowl. He went to lift it to bring to the car and the bottom of it fell out! He thought that it was a screw on bottom so he grabbed it to twist it back on and sliced across three of his fingers. His mom and Uncle "Butch" had to run him to the Insta Care to get stitches. Apparently when Mom and I were mixing the punch, The metal spoon we were stirring it with cracked the bottom, and when he picked it up the weight from the punch made it fall off. Poor thing! Mom's kitchen was a sight! There was punch EVERYWHERE! Even in the living room and in every drawer on the cupboards! Luckily Mom has her pink carpet and once she cleaned it, you couldn't see it! The rest of the night went great! The guys got to play basketball and then we opened presents. We all pitched in and got Mom a pink helmet! We thought it was pretty funny since she hit her head twice and gave her self a concussion so bad she had to be life flighted to the hospital in Salt Lake. Luckily, she thought it was funny too!

Vick Annual Christmas Party 2010

This years Christmas party was a blast! We traveled up to Belinda's house and enjoyed great food and awesome company!

Before dinner the kids got to help decorate cookies! They had a blast! I made Pumpkin Spice Whoopie Cookies. Alyssa LOVED licking the rubber scrapper!

After dinner we headed down to Salt Lake and walked around Temple Square to enjoy the Christmas lights. This year was really crowded! I'm not sure if we will do that anymore. I think I'd rather stay home and either play games or watch a great movie... we'll see!
