I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenck's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirl under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

So Proud Of My Hailey Girl!

When Grandma & Grandpa came up to visit, Hailey decided that it was neat to go 'Potty.' She actually had people to cheer her on! When they left we returned to our normal routine, cleaning house, going to church, eat, sleep. On Monday when Hailey got up her diaper was dry, which she's done a few times, so Mommy stuck her on the toilet. She went, yeah!! Then through out that day, she put herself up there, going every time with no accidents. We couldn't believe it. So that night we had her go before she went to bed and the next morning... DRY!! She's been doing this now for a whole week, with only two accidents. And on Saturday she started going "#2!!" I know that some of you can feel my excitement but for those of you without kids, this is one of those mile stones!!! And she's not even two and a half! I am so proud of her and I know that she's proud of herself! Every time she goes she exclaims, "I did it!" I can't believe how big she's getting. Don't they just grow up to fast?
I love you Hailey Girl!

"No, It's A Baby!"

Yesterday we had to go to the hospital with Hailey. She had a UTI and as a precautionary her doctor wanted us to go in and get an ultra sound on her kidneys, to make sure everything is developing properly. She did really great! I told her that they were going to look at her insides like they did when Mommy went in and we got to see a picture of the baby. She actually sat really still, the lady doing it was really amazed. When we were leaving she stopped us and gave Hailey some pictures of her kidneys. Hailey thought this was really cool and Ashlynn asked her if she could see the pictures of her belly. Hailey looked at her and said, "No, it's a baby." I couldn't help but laugh. Now she's really convinced she's the one having a baby. I had to sit her down and try to explain what her pictures were. Do you think she understands? Who knows. Anyway, everything came out great and there were no problems. BIG relief!

The Lake!

Saturday morning everyone got up, had breakfast, and headed to the Hyrum Lake. We got there around 11:00 am, had lunch, and then started the fun. The girl cousins start out by playing in the sand!

At about 6 O'clock at night, everyone decided that it was time to go home. The kids were hungry and just about every one was fried like a cherry tomato. We packed everything up and headed back to our house to fix dinner and settle down for the night. Everyone eating & watching the Spiderwick Chronicles. We had grilled hot dogs, seven layer dip, pasta salad, & pistachio salad.

If you could have seen where everyone slept you would have died! There were 21 people crammed into our 1100 square foot home!! Amanda, Ethan, Belinda, Sydney, David, Lisa, & Rebecca were all in the living room!BJ was in the kitchen on a cot!
Ashlynn, Emilee, and Jessica were in the floor in the girls room, and Grandpa & Grandpa were on the little girls bed. Eric, Catie, Tyler, Zach, & Andrew were in the computer room!Hailey crashed on Anthony & My bed until Rebecca was moved out into the living room with her parents.
And Anthony, Hailey, & I slept in mine and Anthony's room! Boy were we crowded, but we had the most fun any of us have had in a long time.

4th of July Fun!

Anthony's family came up to Logan on the 3rd. After going to the Lake we came back to our house and ate Kentucky Fried Chicken. Then we went over to the park to wait for the fire works to start. (The city of Logan did their fire works on the 3rd.) The Girls had so much fun playing with all of the Vick cousins! Waiting around for the fire works to start was the funnest part of the evening!
