I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenck's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirl under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

toodle.doodle.do...what.to.do

So,... I am in a blogger funk! I really can't seem to want to down load any pictures to blog about!

Maybe it's my kids?!

They truly have been trying for me the last couple weeks.

I think that maybe they are just bored.

And I guess so am I.

Hopefully with the 4th of July coming up, things will get a little more exciting around here.

My goal in the next couple of days?....

blog about Fathers Day.

(yes, i'm that behind)

(any suggestions on what we could do...)

(something free)

For the 4th you need to make one of those 4th of July cakes with whipcream & cream cheese, blueberries, and strawberries! That's something you can do right? Or better yet, do a truffle (with the same ingredients) instead! Hmmm. That's getting me thinkin'. I should probably do this too. My kids would love it!

PS the great quote from Pres. Hinckley on your blog? I sent it to my friend who needed a pick me up. I really love that quote. Thanks for putting it on your blog. I like to read it every once in a while too.

I love that quote from President Hinckley as well!

You know why I like blogging? No, I know that my life isn't perfect, and I do like throw in some posts of how day to day life is, but I like looking back at the fun things Graham and I have done, or how I truly care about him. It's my pick me up.

Now. For the Fourth. Does Logan have a parade or anything like that? What about doing your own event at home.. A little "carnival' if you may.. super cheap with things around your house. Bubble blowing, watermelon seed spitting contest, bike race, fishing pond...I don't know you're creative just find things there!

Also for the Summer blues.. Do you guys have a schedule? Maybe Monday Park day, Tuesday Library, Wednesday water day {at home}, Thursday bike day etc... just some ideas, although I know it's gotta be hard with three! You're such a fun mommy though!

Good luck! Love ya and miss ya!

k.. it's 74 degrees in Logan? EAT IT UP girl. It's too hot to even think here.

and,

since you're reading nienie, take some ideas from her blog. I LOVE her tradition of homemade pizza with her family every friday night. Gosh she's wonderful!
