I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenck's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirl under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

New Jammies!

All of you may know that my husband is Mr. Fix-it.

His recent fix?

My sewing machine... so yesterday we headed to the fabric store and picked up the necessary items needed to try it out.

I decided that jammies sounded easy, and we let the girls pick out which fabric they wanted.

Can I just tell you that after at least ten year of sewing nothing harder than a baby blanket or patching up an old pair of Anthony's jeans, I had to call my poor Mother at least a dozen times!

But I figured it out, and the girls are asleep in them right now!

They look pretty good if I do say so my self... just don't look to close!

I guess tomorrow I need to sew Alyssa's together.

Holy Cow Chelsey, they look so cute! You did a wonderful job! Dad likes the song you have on your blog! And yes, we think about you too! We would never forget you, ever!~ And you can call me a dozen times ANY time you need to talk to your mama! It is nice to be needed! Love you all so much,
Love Mom

WOW! I am totally impressed. I have a sewing machine & haven't tried to sew any more then taking in some pants, and some small mending. I may just atempt to sew something. Treigh wants a knew blanket that is bigger, so that will most likely be my next project, but that is easy. I may try something bigger some day. Give my girlies a hug for me.

How cute!!! I love the kitty print of the fabric. I'll bet Hailey had a big hand in picking it, right? She loves animals so much. I am totally amazed with your sewing ability. When you were describing the project to me earlier, I had no idea what you were talking about. But now that I see them, I know. They look soooo adorable! Good job.
