Dang it!

So since Sunday is the only day that I wear makeup any more, I took so head shots for my profile pic.


Then we decided to take a drive up the Canyon. We ended up in Tony Grove. It's so pretty up there, but it was FREEZING.

On Tuesday October 27th, Alyssa turned 10 months old.
Can you even believe it?!

(I can't believe that she'll be 1 year old soon.)

Wow,
that means Christmas is not far off.

The girls really enjoy the one on one time they get when their Grandparents come to see us.

A Girls Best Friend

Many of you may instantly think diamonds,
right?

Wrong!

I'm talking any jewelery.
I have decided that I love it and...

that I definitely NEED more of it.
Every women does!

Jewelery does not ever say,
"You're fat."
It does not ever tell you when your butt has gotten bigger.

It sparkles, and shines, and says...
"Hey, your looking a little extra cute today."

For me, this is a big decision.
I have never been one to wear earrings and necklaces,

(and I'm still not so sure about necklaces)

but I have to tell you,
I think I've converted.

I love big sparkly rings,
love the look of big gody bracelets
and have even taken to dangley earrings.

Ashlynn's School Picture

Ashlynn is 5 1/2! I can't believe it. I can remember when she was just 18 months and still needed me to rock her to sleep. Now she is so grown up. She is starting to read and write, can tie her own shoes, and has started to pick Alyssa up and carry her around. She is such a good big sister and is such a great example.

I love you Ashlynn. Love, Mommy

Fall Recipes

Peanut Butter Pretzels

1 cup creamy peanut butter
2 Tbsp marg, softened
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 bag milk chocolate chips
1 bag square pretzles

Combine pb and marg. in a Lg bowl with a fork.
Add sugars and stir to combine.
Cover cookie sheet with wax paper.
Roll filling into 1 inch small balls and set on cookie sheet.
Next, sandwich between 2 square pretzels.
Stick tray in freezer 20- 30 min.
Pour chocloate chips into a microwave safe bowl.
Heat till melted, stirring occasionaly.
Remove pretzel sandwiches from freezer
and quickly dip each half-way into the melted chocolate.
Return to the tray. When all dipped,
return tray to the freezer to set. (30 mins)
Store in plastic bag in frige or freezer




Soft Sugar Cookies

1 cup marg.
1 cup sour cream
4 tsp. Baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
cream together 1-2 mins. then add:
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups sugar
5 1/2 cups flour
Mix well. Dough will be slightly sticky. Flour counter heavily. Section dough in half. Coat each section with flour, place first section in the middle of flour on counter, roll out to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut out shapes and place on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake 375 10 min. *Do not over bake*

Sugar Cookie Frosting
1 cup shortning
2 tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
Whip together then add:
1 lb. powdered sugar
Mix well. Add food coloring.

Shake A Leg

Yesterday I was walking down the hall,

passed the door of the girls room

and out of the corner of my eye can see

Hailey.

She is sitting on her floor playing barbies.

The untrained eye wouldn't have seen anything else

and probably would have continued on down the hall.

Me?...No.

I immediately turn around and tell her,

"Hailey, go potty."

And she says,

"Mom, I don't have to."

And I tell her,

"Hailey, go potty!"

She looks up at me,

rolls her eyes,

puts down her barbies

and heads to the bathroom.

Ever since Hailey started knowing she needed to pee she will shake a leg.

Which has been nice because I have always know to,

but is also bad because she only does it when she has put it off

and is trying to prolong her trip to the bathroom.
